Bachelor 1 (MAN BTS Hôtellerie Restauration)
A-level, baccalaureate or any international equivalent is required to enter first year, all subjects or specialties are accepted, either general or technical. Candidates are usually finishing high school, 17 to 19 years old.
Candidates with one year of study after A-level should apply for first year too. Candidates with two years of study after A-level, in any discipline, can apply for the Bachelor in one year (learn more). Candidates with work experience, or with former studies in the field of tourism and hospitality can apply for a direct admission in second year (see below).
Bachelor 2 (BTS Hôtellerie Restauration)
Candidates with a diploma in hospitality or tourism can apply directly for the second year of the program. This program is only available in Paris and in French. Candidates with work experience in the hotel industry can also apply for a direct admission in second year, applications are evaluated individually.
The tp-up Bachelor in Hotel Management is accessible after any two-year study in any field. Candidates with a three-years diploma or above, in any field other than tourism or management should apply for the top-up Bachelor.
M1 is the equivalent of a Bachelor with honors, graduates can enter directly into the Master program. Admission in M1 is possible directly after a three-years diploma in management (business) or hospitality ; other candidates should apply for the Bachelor in one year first. This program in Paris is taught half in French and half in English, a good understanding of both languages is thus required. There is no level of English required to enter the program in London, but students will have to reach 750/990 at TOEIC test to enter the Master.
An undergraduate degree in any discipline at award level 2:2 or above. Overseas awards will be accepted subject to equivalence at this level. Extensive work experience (usually 2 years or more at managerial level in the sector) may allow admission based on the faculty’s APEL policy. Overseas, non-native English speakers will be required to have gained TOEIC 750/990 (understanding).
