FINANCE - Maggie Chen

Maggie is a full time instructor for the graduate and undergraduate programs at Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne. She has a Master in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management from University of New Haven. This course begins with reviewing financial statements, including the balance sheet, the income statement, and statement of cash flows. The time value of money will then be introduced. Students will use ARR (accounting rate of return), Payback, and Net Present Value (NPV) to evaluate the feasibility of hospitality projects. This course concludes with discussions of financing options available to the hospitality industry, financing costs, and valuation of hospitality projects.
